I wouldn't worry! The RH has done this many many times and everything will be fine! Don't stress over something you can't control!

RH do this all the time. If they couldnt do it they would never have scheduled it that way. It will be fine....I think mine was set up in that amount of time.

G- it's OK! Fox Hollow gets it done and they have done this for years!
Read past reviews, especially from Brides who have been in your room...I have never heard of this being an issue. They can and will make it happen. Trust them They have a solid reputation so it's not like you're going in blind. Regardless, it's fair to voice concerns, speak with your banquet manager and tell them you're disappointed that this detail was not disclosed to you.

i've been to events there. it's always been amazing and honestly, they wouldn't book things that they don't normally do so i would rest assured it will all be okay. is there a manager or whoever that you could talk to ...to address your concerns and reassure you just so you feel better? it will all be okay, don't worry!!

Please don't stress!! I'm sure they know that they can set up the room very quickly and probably alot of employees are setting up the room at one time so they can do it fast. You shouldn't pay for another hour it's not your fault that FH booked a CH before yours..it's their fault!!

I completely agree with everyone else.. They would have never booked both events so close together if they didn't know they could set the room up on time.. I am sure everything will turn out perfectly!!!

I think they can do it. . . my place is not that close but pretty close and I was freaking out at first. . besides I would think if they are NOT done, they will extend your CH for free to keep you happy, they for sure won't kick you out. . so it should be good!

I agree with the above... @ most places they are a well oiled machines, this is what they do! You'd be surprised what they can do in 1/2 hour! They have large staffs on hand specifically to get what needs to be done, done!
Plus we have had countless Fox Hollow Brides on here and I have never read a complaint about delays, or rushed a set up job... you cannot be the first bride ever to have your reception w/in 1/2 hour of of someone's CH
if all else fails, we find out who the bride is that is in the room before you and we threaten her guests to be up and outta that joint ON TIME or else they'll be sleeping with the fishes!
( I know some people that can make it happen say the word! )
Relax! it'll be fine!!!!!!!!!

Re: someone please calm me down..or reassure me
I am going through the same thing at my RH. The party before us ends at 6:30 and ours starts at 7:30. You have to remember that just because it ENDS at 6:30 doesn't mean that everyone stays till then. More than likely, most of the guests will be gone. Especially because that party starts at 12 pm. And by 6:30, everyone will have eaten and would be ending dessert, so the busboys and waiters would pretty much have nothing left over to clean except to sweep the floors.
Also, when and where is your CH? If it is after the ceremony and in a different room, then the vendors will have more than an hour and a half to set up while the CH goes on.
Since my wedding is a Jewish-Russian one, we are having the CH first, then the Ceremony, then the Reception. Our invite time is 7:30 pm, so from 6:30 (or earlier) - to about 9:30 pm, the vendors will be setting everything up.
Dont worry!!

Re: someone please calm me down..or reassure me
Don't worry, I used to do this and you would be amazed how quickly we could break down and set up a room. Our proudest moment was when we transformed a single room from an indoor ceremony (involving dismantling a chuppah) to a fully tabled, linened, set, and designed wedding reception in an hour. We busted our butts but it happened!
Is your cocktail hour you are talking about that is right after this previous cocktail hour? If so it won't be as big a task as you think... they will just do a quick sweep through to clean up and set out new food. If it is your full out reception they need to set up, that is a bigger feat, but as long as they have plenty of staff, which I'm sure they will, you'd be amazed on how quickly they can turn it over.

Im sure that it will be fine, but if you are still stressing over it, I just got 8 boxes of wine I picked up from the liquor store yesterday for my favors...I mean im sure I could spare a few bottles if you need a drink!

Re: someone please calm me down..or reassure me
My sister wasn't married at Fox Hollow but I say the wait staff transform her room from a ceremony with 150 guest, a hoopa, and mutiple pillars, to her reception room with tables, chairs, linens, and centerpieces in about 20 minutes. So the other girls are right that those who do this all the time are used to it and can do it with no problems!
If you are still concerned (which you have every right to be) discuss it with them and ask them if they will extend your cocktail hour if the room is not properly set up in time.

Re: someone please calm me down..or reassure me
i went to a communion at Marina del ray i know its not your hall but let me tell you that in 20 min they turned the messy kid friendly room into an amazing wedding hall...and what i mean by messy is that they had toilet paper and popped balloons everywhere so dont worry they know what they're doing

Gina it will be fine. I waitressed one summer at a catering hall when I was in college and you would be surprised at how quickly they do it. You won't even know another party was in that room before you!
