someone please tell me the law regarding stores ripping out tags

i am fuming.

just went shopping with my mom AGAIN for MOB dress. went to a store, asked who the designer was and they told me, 'i don't know...they come in to the store with our tag already on it.' i told her i know what their deal is and they are lying. then i left.

what a shame...because the dress we were looking at was a LOT of money. what a way to lose a sale.

i want to know the actual law. i'm writing them a letter and i want facts. i don't know why this p*sses me off so much

what is ftc...federal trade commission?

It's the federal trade commission. The link is about wedding gowns but I thought I'd post that to give you a start - if you search the site you may find something for other types of clothing or formal wear.
