Something Old..something new

Are any of you still following this tradition? Does the item have to be on your person or can it be a part of the wedding ceremony? Some of the items we're using at our ceremony has been handed down in our family. Would that suffice for something old?

I think something that is involved in the ceremony would count as something old. It's so meaningful and nice to use something that has been handed down in your family. : )
