Something Really Funny Just Happened...

I'm checking my email and I get a message from my cousin in NJ. He invited my family and me to his house in a couple weeks for a BBQ. This email was telling us not to say anything to his wife b/c it's a surprise for her bday.

His line was: Reminder: September 30th is my dear Steffanie's 40th Birthday and our planned event on Saturday, 9/25, is a surprise to her. Ladies - no discussions about this at Rebecca's shower on the 12th!!!

Now, I know about my shower, so this line didn't affect me. I'm just like ok, no talking about the bbq.

My other cousin just called me (his sister) and she's like, 'Ummm, ok this is tricky, ummm... Do you know about your shower?'

I'm like, 'yeah of course, I'm too much of a control freak not to!'

She's like, 'Oh thank GOD!!! Michael is FREAKING OUT!!! He feels soooo stupid!! He just emailed both your parents apologizing PROFUSELY for ruining the surprise.'

So now we're laughing about it and she's like ok let me go and tell him the good news. I'm like alright, I'm sure he'll be relieved. So then she's like, 'I'm going to make him suffer first, I'll tell him you had no idea and you're really upset.'

I love my family!
