something that popped into my head to day......? about your dress color

I always remembered hearing that you had to be 'pure' to wear a white wedding gown....i know times have changed but.......did anyone in your familes argue with you on wearing a white dress? I am wearing white because i want to...but when a friend of mine got married quite a few years ago her grandmother fought with her like crazy that she was wearing white becasue she had a child out of wedlock..........i was just curious if anyone else had the same problem and are you wearing white anyway????
