sonogram question

how many sonograms did you get during your pregnancy?

With my first pregnancy - I had 2 - one at 8 weeks and the big one at 20 weeks.
Now, I've had 2 already one at 6 weeks and one at 10 weeks, but I'm sure thats because I'm having twins.

Let's see...

I had one early at 8 wks because I had alot of cramping the beginning.

Then one at 11 wks.

Then one at 14 wks.

Then one at 20 wks.

Then one at 23 wks.

Then one at 28 wks.


And now they tell me I will have one per month until I deliver because I showed some concern over the baby's weight at my last appt. So they were very quick to offer more sonos. I honestly think they just want to keep charging my insurance as much as possible.

At first they said they were doing so many sonos prior to the 23 wk because they wanted to keep an eye on my cervix that it wasn't dilating or too short. Now it's because I asked if my baby's weight was in the normal range because I think I'm a little small for 6 months.

I figure it can't hurt to have more sonos so I'm not complaining.

EDD 7-5-05

I had one @ 8 wks-- first glance and heartbeat
one @ 12 week- ultrascreen test
then I had 2 in a row at 16 weeks- only becuase I had cramping and pressure

then 20 wks- level II

thats it and they said that was it for the rest of the pregnancy

8 weeks for dating
10 week heartbeat check
12 week ultrascreen
12 week ultrascreen because they couldn't get the neck measurement at the first then they thought I had amniotic banding so...
13 week level II
now I'll have my next @ 20 weeks for gender
