Sooo...How did you ladies know that FH was 'the one'?

Just trying to get these posts up!!

I knew because 3 months into dating, I had a scary episode that landed me in the emergency room, and he stayed overnight w/ me, and was wonderful!! He also told me that was when he realized that he loved me.

Awe... that's cute.
My is like the saying 'if you love someone, let them go and if they come back to you then it's meant to be...'

well, we dated a few months and b/c of timing we broke up for about 8 mos. I was totally devastated and even tried online dating looking for a personality likes his. 8 mons later we would up seeing eachother and hasn't stopped since about 3 years now (and married last month)

Thanks... I also had a jersey shore house that summer and I remember meeting guys at bars and thinking to myself... they're not him. Now it's fun to joke that we broke... I mean he did make it up to me with a biga$$ Eng ring.

I got the feeling 3 months into dating. He sent me roses to the office for my birthday, and it wasn't the roses, but I just got an eerie (good eerie) feeling and thought 'wow, this is the guy I'm going to marry!'
We've been together for almost 3 1/2 years and that feeling has never gone away.

Re: Sooo...How did you ladies know that FH was 'the one'?

It was very early on and it wasn't one specific thing it was a combination of things he did in the beginning.

Writing me letters, buying flowers for no reason, staying with me outside his house for 2 hours searching for this kitten i had seen and chasing her all around and this was big bc he is very allergic to cats and he kept saying what am i doing LOL, i was real sad after i went home that night and we didn't get her so after i left he said he felt bad so he went and got milk from his house and put it by where we had seen her. Planning a romantic weekend at his house in the poconos. He was just real sweet, caring and so affectionate, and treated me so great-i knew i was lucky to have found him.

but one silly and cute thing he did was when he asked me out it was at this restaurant and after we went out to a club but he wanted to stop at his house to change his shoes, and after he came out and said to me that he changed his Myspace to 'IN A RELATIONSHIP' i thought it was so cute and funny that he did that right away and also how happy he was about it

Umm...I don't know...the jury is still out over here. I'm just kidding.

We had hung out quite a bit as friends for like a month before we actually started dating. We were out with all of our friends (we both had shares in a house), we had been on literally 1 date before, and he was really drunk and he told me he loved me. And I laughed it off but I knew I felt that way too and it freaked me out. I never felt that way before and that's how I knew. Gut instincts, right?

I can not explain it with words.... it was just a feeling I had inside...

We were just friends at the time, but him being a Volunteer firefighters on Sept. 11 and being down there when we didn't know at the time what was going on, so many emotions were running through my head, and the thought of not having him by my side made me sick. Before his truck left for the city he called me and said 'Just remember that I made this phone call'

As gay as it sounds, he definitely completes me!

Because I feel so comfortable with him since the day we met. I have to said so confortable. And now he feel the same way with my family and thats a lot for me.
We met online, he was married before almost 18 years (no kids) I never thought I'm gonna get married with a guy who was married before or with someone older than me, he is 10 years older. But I spend before almost 8 years with my ex and he never want to leave his family, so we broke up, after 1 year I met my DH (I'm married now) online I was online with him one one night, the whole night and he didn't care that he have to work next day at 7am, we chat day until 5am. Im the kind of girl who wait until the rigth moment to be with a guy, I dont have a lot of experience in that area, but since the day WE spend the day together we cannot be without each other, I'm so in love with him that I could do whatever I have to do to show him how much I love him.
I'm a hubby's wife

I knew when I was freaking out b/c I hadn't dated in a long time. I sent him and email trying to tell him it wasn't going to work and he responded back with 'I don't need anymore friends' We met, talked about things, I told him about my anxiety (i have GAD) and he was totally ok with everything.

We were engaged at 10 months....

we're celebrating being engaged 1 year this weekend!

I actually DIDNT know if I really liked him after MONTHS of dating LOL
Then I went away for a week & realized how much I was thinking of him & how much I missed him. He picked me up at the airport at 6:30am with a bag of groceries since he knew I wouldnt have food in the house and drove me home tucked me into bed and made me breakfast when I woke up.
He won my heart after that!! And STILL continues to WOW me with sweet & thoughtful things when I least expect it.

I just knew, it's not really something I can explain. A few weeks after dating we just fell in love with each other and I knew!

Re: Sooo...How did you ladies know that FH was 'the one'?

i had been hurt VERY VERY badly by my ex-BF before my DH. so i was in NO rush whatsoever to get serious and fall in love, so we took things really slow.

i think i truly just KNEW he was the one, about 3 yrs into the relationship--when i went to Europe for 9 days without him, and it made me realize how much i missed him and wanted to be with him. i never knew i would feel that way for anyone again--and it was 1000x stronger that what i felt with my ex. i returned from Europe--and he felt the exact same way.

a month later he asked me to marry him!

I didn't know at first since we were trying to do the long distance thing for a while since he was on the east coast and I was on the west coast for school. But after 3 months of flying back and forth, and constantly running up our phone bills, he called me and told me that he was dropping everything and leaving to drive across the country to be with me. I knew that if he was willing to sacrifice everything just to be close to me, that it was definitely meant to be.
