Soooo upset

My Mom and maid of honor have been working so hard planning my shower. My Mom especially and they want it to be a suprise. I refuse to check my registry because I really do want to be suprised since I know how much my mom is putting into this. My fiance's friend's girlfriend from out of state emailed me today to say she knew my shower was in march, but didn't get the invite yet and wanted to double check the weekend with the me to make hotel reservations. So, now I know its in March and I will be expecting it :( :( :(

I am always so paranoid when I get invites to showers of ANY kind. The bride/expectant mother is never on the RSVP list so I am very careful. I sometimes avoid the guest of honor so I don't give up a surprise. I am not a 'surprise person' per se. I get too anxious about things and I am too inquisitive in nature to be clueless. In other words, I am too nosy. My friends and family would have to work especially hard to keep a surprise from me. He. He. This should be fun.

In this girl's defense, showers being a surprise is a total New York thing.. sorry your surprise is ruined- but you still don't know exactly when!

Awwwww dont worry at least you dont know when. My mom forgot to put surprise and my coworker almost blew it today and I cut her off and said its a surprise I dont know anything about it. she was telling me how my mom sent the invitation to her and 2 coworkers and they got it yesterday and then I cut her off, I bet someone is going to screw up cause my mom forgot to put surprise oh well well see.

aww I'm so sorry-she really should've known better than to call you-but you still dont know the exact date so that will still be a bit of a surprise-either way you'll have a great shower so don't worry about it too much!

Sorry to hear that but yeah my VA/DC friends were clueless when they found out that showers were surprises in NY....my NY one unfortunately isn't since it would be hard for me to get there on a surprise and my VA isn't either....oh well, still will be fun and i even know where it is going to be (I should have made them keep that a secret!)

Thanks girls- it could very well be I am being thrown off. Who knows? I have never had a suprise party in my life so I would love to be suprised, but I guess we all know its coming eventually, right? hehe

Don't be too bummed out....there are many days in march that it could be and you knew it was going to be coming up anyway!

i am so sorry to hear that.... the friend should have known better then to call you and ask about making reservations....dduuuhhhh....well i guess all you can do now it make the best of it. at least she didnt tell you the date, time, and place...
