It so did not live up to my expectations. I must admit that I did fall asleep towards the end - I guess I'll try to catch the rest when they repeat it.

Wow- I disagree with you guys - last night was the culmination of a season that highlighted the marriage of Tony & Carmela. That was some great acting and very realistic. Instead of someone getting whacked, a marriage broke up. It was very sad.

I was saying YOU GO GIRL the whole time ! I hope she set an example for all women (not putting up with it anymore, and OUT THE DOOR you go!)
The scene in the bedroom was GREAT ! It was scary and sad !! GO CARMELA !! She got ballsy even mentioning her interest in Furio ! WOO shes one of a kind ! Im on her side

I agree Carmella finally got her goove on and put Tony the slob in check, but I wanted someone to get wacked.

I think the actress who plays Carmela did a stellar job last night but the writing is just not there anymore. Worse is that HBO has been hyping up the last episode with promos like 'youll never believe what will happen'. Your right, i never would have believed that NOTHING would happen.

I saw Edie Falco on broadway (Carmela) in Frankie & Johnny - she is a fine actress. Her character on broadway was completely different that Carmela but last night - Carmela was just so raw and emotional. Good stuff.

I think it was good, but NOT what I expected. I LOVED the scenes between Carmella and Tony, but really nothing else. The rest of it was pretty standard. FH was VERY disappointed, he expected more drama and violence.
It was not what they led us to believe it would be.

I agree with everyone else. I think Edie Falco did an incredible job acting last night - it was real. Imagine finding out your husband is sleeping with every woman that comes his way? She really showed the raw emotion.

I was a little disappointed in the show overall though. Not much action going on - and I didn't like the way it ended with the boat and music - I would have rather seen it end with a scene with Tony and Carmela.

I think Edie Falco did do an excellent job and they did have great scenes together (her and Gandolfini). And it would have been a good regular episode. It just wasn't 'season finale' enough for me. But I have been disappointed a lot this season.

It was a horrible finale!! We had a 'mini finale party' and everyone was disappointed! Especially the guys -- they wanted somebody wacked, sick!!! I thought Carmela did a great job and it's about time she confronted him about the fact that he can't keep his pants zipped, but she's known about it a long time and it should've just been a regular episode, not the finale!

I LOVED the whole Dean Martin blaring out of the boat scene!! That was hysterical!!!!

i thought the season was disapointing also, however i thought last night with the whole tony and carmela thing was pretty interesting...

last night was good, but not what the coming attractions made it out to be....I expected a HUGE ending...and at least 1 whacking!

Count me in as well, a horrible season. FH even came home from work early last night to see the finale and was so disappointed no one got whacked!

Verdila.. i agree with that article. Edie Falco had an Emmy performance last night. Raw and real. However, the scene with the boat and music was lame. This was one of 2 good episodes this season. Though, they could have switched it around, and had Ralph whacked in the finale and the Tony/Carmela episode earlier this season.

I also think that Carmela's depression over Furio was a little exaggerated. JMHO, and of course I will watch the final season whenever it comes on. Mike & I love picking out places we know (we are living in Jersey now).

Edie Falco's perfomance was AWESOME! She did some fantastic acting. Carmella kicked Tony's A$$!!(It's about time!!) That Furrio line made my mouth drop!!
