Re: Sorority girls?
I was in Sigma Delta Tau, Gamma Nu chapter at SUNY New Paltz. class of 2005. I promised my little after I graduated that I would hand down my jacket to her but never did. I just couldn't part with it. I'm going to keep my paddles and pledge shirt but I've been thinking about mailing my old shirts and jacket to the house. I know I would've been really happy if an alumni had done that while I was active.

sorry, i pledged spring 2002 and graduated in 2005.
My lil sis & one of my closest friends in the sorority are in my BP. And another sister is my wedding planner!
Don't throw your stuff out!!!! I still wear my letters to the gym, and have my paddles hanging up. I can't part with that stuff, it's a part of me. It's nice to be able to go thru the stuff once in awhile.

Re: Sorority girls?
I was Gamma Xi at Hamilton College. We were'nt allowed to have national sororities at my school and we also weren't allowed to have sororoity or frat houses so it was probably a little different experience. I saved all my stuff too and its just sitting in a box in my closet next to FH's frat stuff. I have no idea what I'll do with it!

I miss it so much. It really made my college experience so much better. I pledged fall of freshman year and I was active for all 8 semesters. After I graduated I was like, so what am I going to do on Sunday nights now? lol

Yeah, I cant bring myself to throw them out. It was the best time of my life. I MISS THOSE DAYS!!! 3 years ago I went to Punta Cana w. my friend. On the way back home I was at the aiport holding my sorority jacket ( I brought it b.c I figured it would be good if it rained...Im an idiot!) Well... I was really hammered....and I lost my jacket at the airport.. I was so upset! In fact, I was thinking of buying myself another one...corny, I know... but the stupid jacket meant a lot to me.
I never thought about passing down my stuff to my younger lineage.... thats actually a cute idea. I might consider that. I always hoped my sister that goes to Queens college would pledge Phi Sigma Sigma there....but she didnt, she never pledged. BOO!!!!

Awww, that really stinks. My lil sister goes to Queens College, so she didnt get to experience the real college life either.

I wanted the 6 girls that i am close to and lived in our house w/ to be a part of my wedding party so i made them 'guests of honor' they are wearing black dresses (our sorority color) w/ bouquets of red roses (our flower). they are walking ahead of the bridal party and i miust say they were so touched.

Re: Sorority girls?
THAT IS THE BEST IDEA I HAVE HEARD!! I was trying to think of a way to include half of my 22 member pledge class that is comign to the wedding. I was in Alpha Xi Delta at PENN STATE UNIVERSITY!!! I am having my grand little in my wedding party, but it was too difficult to include all of the others!

I am Delta Gamma too! But from Villanova. I almost became an advisor for your chapter because I was working as a grad professor there for a while and I wanted to help out.

Why did they change it? I know people who were SDT at Buffalo, is it changed nationally, or just at Oneonta?
