What is up with clothing manuafacturers today? I have been trying to find something to wear for my engagement photo shoot for about 2 weeks now and can not find anything that is simple. Everything has sequines, or is too long, or too short! It really should not be this hard! Am I alone in this?

Re: Sorry about the vent, but GRRRR....
Where have you been shopping? I still find normal stuff at my staple stores--Ann Taylor, Banana Repulic, but I found the junior styles in places like Macy's are way too extreme for me now.

I hear you on this one.... all of the camis...
uhhhhhh, hello, I'm a 34 year old high school teacher with 36C's
1. not appropriate for work
2. as if hs boys need something else to stimulate them
3. at 34 years old my 'girls' don't stand at attention like they used to.
4. I'm a 36C... forget about June busting out all over... It would be ME busting out all over.
Ahhhh, to be independently wealthy and have people designing for us...

Well, I did try places like Macy's, Mandee, and 21...maybe that's my problem. 21 had some pretty nice stuff, but again had the same problem. The only thing is that every place else seems so expensive (I am not working right now). Usually I have no problem spening the extra $$ if it looks good. I wish I was taller, I would have no problem then. I actually did a search and decided I am going to go w/ a more casual look anyway, so that may make things a bit easier (capris and a tank top). However, I tried on 2 tank tops today and they were so long that it bunched up around my hips and did nothing for my shape.

I just went to the Banana Republic outlet this weekend and they had some really cute stuff :) I got a gorgeous blue flower skirt there for 1/2 off - I was SO excited Express has some nice stuff too. I think there are alot of 'unique' trends this season though, so I could see how it would be harder to find nice clothing!

EXACTLY! I have the same problem...34C...and can not go bra-less. I have the same problem finding clothes for work too. Everything shows the girls off way too much. I am also 5'4', which is a reasonable height, however, clothes are made for people 5'6' and up! Forget about bathing suits too (need a large for the top, and a small for the bottoms)

You're telling me!! Try buying maternity. Those designers seem to think that us preggos must want our now bigger boobs spilling out all over the place!!! Everything is that V neck wrap around design...you know where one boob always gets overexposed?!
It's not much better with non maternity so I hear ya!

Re: Sorry about the vent, but GRRRR....
This is why I did not want to do this in the summer. I am actually considering waiting until the fall now because I can not find a thing I am happy with. Not to sound like Bridezilla or anything, but what is the point of taking pictures that I am not going to be happy with? It seems as if I am between sizes! I found this really pretty tank top that I realize that I will now have to return because it does not fit right (I did try it on the store too!). The only thing I am worried about is how long these pics will take to come back because of STD. If I wait until fall, when will we be able to order our STD?

I was able to find some nice stuff at Macy's w/ my mom. I was thinking about wearing capris, but I may borrow a white skirt to wear w/ a blue halter top. I think that will be nice for the beach.
