sorry girls....

I wasn't much on yesterday FH got really sick I was taking care of him I ended up staying at his house last night and I just got back home...trying to rush it so I can get ready to go to work. Another thing is that yesterday was just not a good day for me....I had applied for Teach for America and i didn't get in the program I was soo soo sad all day. FH was soo nice even when he was sick he came and picked me up from work and was there for me all the time. I am really really crushed that I got rejected. I really really want to be a teacher. I also applied for NYC teaching fellows but I am still waiting on a decision probably won't find out til Nov. I am very nervous. I have thought already if I don't get in I will get a full time job after I finish schoo. I am getting my BA in May. My job has offered me a better position with my BA. But I still wanna teach so I would like to go to grad school for this if in in fact i don't make it..... I am sorry ladies I wasn't on too much quite frankly I feel horrible. I hope you are all staying dry in this horrible rainy day

So sorry to hear that. However there are other programs if you want to be a teacher. (I personally dont like the fellows program because of the schools they send you to) What is your specialty area. I went through this same thing 2 yrs ago trying to get grad school money to become a teacher. Let me know your specialty and maybe I can tell you about the programs I know for that area. FM me and I am def willing to help

I'm so sorry. I am a strong believer in fate, if its meant to be it will happen. If you really want to teach don't worry it will happen. I'm sure this weather is not making you feel any better either. Go out this weekend and cheer up!

Sorry to hear how bad your day was. I hope the Teaching Fellows works out. If not, I know theres a career change program for teaching in St Johns, which is just 1 year full time ( I think) of school to become a teacher. My friend did it and had a great experience

I'm so sorry about your day. Don't worry, things will look up...it's hard to get a teaching job but it will come! (I know cuz I finally am one! lol). NYC is always in need of teachers so I bet you will have no problem getting into the fellows program which i've heard is great. Plus teaching NYC kids is hard but it's a very very very rewarding experience! Good luck with everything and keep us posted!

AWWW IM SORRY HUN.. THINGS WILL WORK OUT!!!! MY FRIEND APPLIED 4 THAT TEACH AMERICA THING SHE DIDNT GET IN ALSO SO NOW SHES SUBING AND THEN GOING TO TRY AND GET A FULL TIME POS TEACHING
