Soundview Caterers in Bayville - some pics and a review

Hey Ladies,

I know there was a thread previously about Soundview because it's new. I went to a wedding there in October...I meant to post earlier, sorry!

First impressions - modern looking. They did a nice job renovating. Small foyer when you walk in. There's a coat check in the back, past the staircase going to the cocktail hour room.

Downstairs, there ceilings are on the low side, but not a deal breaker. There's a long bar along one side of the room. They setup all of the food in the middle of the room in a hollow square shape.

I was pretty impressed by the cocktail hour. Everything tasted good. I forgot to take pics down there.

Upstairs, I took some pics, which I will try to attach. The floor is all wood, so there's no separation from the tables to the dance floor to the DJ/band. The view is beautiful, but once it gets dark, you can't see anything.

I have no complaints about the service, but the food was pretty mediocre. I got steak, and it was thin and tasteless. I saw people asking for ketchup and A1 steak sauce...really?! And the steak knife was small and flimsy.

Food was super important to me, so if you're looking here, I would definitely ask to have a tasting of the entrees!
