Any South Asian/West Indian brides here? I would like to start a page where we can discuss cultural details about weddings!

Locally Id suggest new jersey. Jackson heights was a killer, and Hicksville didn't have a lot of stores with the long Kameez Lenghas. I already have my lengha but saw a lengha on closeout for $750 a few weeks ago.. I don't know how to send pix though :(

I want to try Libaas on Hillside Ave in queens. They girls make it exactly how you want the dress to look.

Re: South Asian Brides
I am having the Hindu ceremony in a hall so I'll have the Indian dress. We are having a Christian ceremony and reception the day after so I'll be wearing white 'american' drsss. But because its in the summer I might change into a shorter party dress for the reception. How about you?

We are only doing a quick civil ceremony (non-religious). I ideally wanted to custom make or find a dress that is a fusion style of american and indian. When you mention the shop Libaas, can they cut the dress however you want? Do you mind sending me an FM with a picture of your dress and the cost?
