Is anyone booking a venue and catering in their own food? Any reviews or preferences?


Definitely Minar in NYC. I also recommend Bukhara. I like Minar the best however. The food is just amazing!

Those were just Pintrest Ideas. I havent gotten to the point of actually buying dresses yet. The lady at Libaas will make it the way I want so im just collecting ideas for now. I have a feeling it will cost around $500 at least, since its custom made.

Here are some places I've been to in-person, as they allow external catering. I'm listing their prices without food for an August friday-sun:

Verdi's of Westbury: 35+tax, per person

Leonard's Palazzo: got them down to $50-55 per person, +tax

Crest Hollow: 69+tax for a Friday night, $52+tax for Sunday afternoon plus $1950 to have appetizers near the poolside and $4 per chair cover (their chairs weren't tbat nice)

Inn at NHP: $85+ service + tax

Westbury Manor: Sunday afternoons are the only time they allow external catering in August, $60+ tax

Fox doesn't allow external catering because their kitchen space doesn't allow it

Obsession banquet hall: 38-55+ service + tax, with halls food. Depends on package you pick

Antuns:$42-50 with food, no extra money for tax or service charge

I didnt rerearch enough for photo video. I'll be using the same makeup artist for both the hindu and christian wedding. Also, b4udjs are really good Dj's.

I checked out only 1 indian photo/video and i found them to be completely expensive. I could send you that quote if you want it.

Thank you! I'll check them out! Also, Im having a 12-5 event and I saw your concerns on Lughting the atmosphere; any updates on that? My venue (Greentree country club) has led lighting but lots and lots of windows, so not sure how it'll look on the dance floor!
