south beach or place like it for bachelorette party question

i really dont want to put my girls in the poor house but id really like to go to south beach...does anyone have any recommendations for a cheap hotel on the water? (like under 200 maybe) is it possible to not have to rent a car? are the bars/clubs all near the water and hotels?

if southbeach is too much money id def look into going somewhere else..so if u have recommendations for other places that are on the water and have a great night life..please let me know!

we plan on going away for just 2 or 3 nights in July

for flights, i highly highly suggest you check out sidestep.com ... it searches for tons of flights and will find you the best deal and save you a bunch of time

I've gone to South Beach every spring for the past 4 years. First of all, your going to LOVE IT! It is the perfect place to go with your girlfriends. I'm going back again this April for my BP.
Anyways, just becareful with the less expensive hotels. They are not all 'superclean'.
We have always stayed at the Doubletree Surfcomber which is like $260.00 per night but the property and hotel are great and the pool is very nice.
This year we are trying the Shelborne. We wanted to try something new but the price is about the same.

Also, MOST south beach hotels have SMALL rooms. You really cannot fit more then 3 girls in one room in many of the hotels.
