I've been to Barcelona, Seville, Granada and Madrid and loved it. Went in October though...I'm pretty sure most of Europe is very crowded in the summer months since they get so much vacation time over there and are on break themselves during that time. Granada was my favorite - they have this beautiful old castle called Alhambra - really beautiful. I'd go hit the book store and see some books about it and if you think you'd like it.

I love love love Spain. I have been there in July (twice) depending on where you go, it can be quite hot and is a little more crowded but still doable. I loved Granada, aCordoba, and Sevilla the most. Barcelona was also fun and has beach (but is def crowded but a great place to go out, see architecture, amazing day trip to an old manoastery. There are also smaller towns which are nice too. Are you looking more for big city experience or small town, interesting things?

We went to spain and monaco for our HM. In spain we went to Barcelona and had the most amazing time, I highly recommend it. Dont be afraid with the euro here bc its inexpensive and even with the euro it was cheaper than NYC, and i went when the euro was alot higher so now would be even less.

We stayed at the OMM hotel which we loved, its a very modern hotel which dh wanted. IT was on passeig de gracia which i suggest too, its kind of like the 5th avenue of barcelona. Very nice and clean and lots around. ITs also walking distance to Las ramblas and gothic square which you definitely have to go to. The food was amazing at each and every place we went to, the people were all nice. Even last night we were talking about it with somebody else who went there this year for their HM and how amazing it was. DH was saying how he would love to even live there lol, we were seriously so sad to leave.

I think july would be a great time to go. You can go to frommers.com to get more info on what its like in July. August is when most ppl in europe are off for the month so its right before that so thats a good thing.

If you have any other questions, id be glad to answer

uhmmmm not sure about that, theres not many all inclusives in europe period. THeir idea of all inclusive usually is just breakfast, even outside of europe, some hotels say european all inclusive which means just breakfast. Our hotel did have free breakfast thats about it. Not saying there arent any but i personally dont know of one

I love, love, love Spain! We went to Madrid, Seville and Marbella (on the costa del sol) with day trips to Toledo and Grenada. It's so beautiful. We went the last week of April into early May and it was in the high 70's low 80's. We were told that it gets quite hot (over 100) in the summer especially in the cities like Madrid and Seville.

You definitely have to check out the Alhambra in Grenada - it's amazing!

Well Thank you for all your input ladies, I've always wanted to go to Spain so I'm excited to start my research on this. For you ladies that have been to Spain during July (or summer months) where you able to visit a city where there was a beach?? FH and I both love love the beach so if we could travel to Spain for our HM AND also have the beach during our vacation it would be great! I haven't started looking into this so any info would help.

I don't believe there is. My in-laws went for their 25th anniversary and I believe they only had breakfast included at the hotels which for them was perfect because you were always out during the day it would be harder to get back for lunch or dinner if you traveled further than your hotel.
We went to Italy for our HM and we researched about all inclusives and they didn't have any.

I went to Barcelona, Madrid, San Sebastian (a city with a beach right in the middle of it) very interesting where you see people dressed in suits walking to work and you're laying on the beach. Also, Ibiza...most beautiful beaches in all of Europe in my opinion. Beautiful sunsets, calm waters, relaxing lounges. That is the place to go for a honeymoon. Just make sure you find a hotel with Air Conditioning. I believe we took a ferry from Valencia over there and spent a few days. I did go in July

Marbella and Malaga (on the costa del sol) are also right on the beach. When we went we did the touristy thing for about a week and then spent the last 4 days in Marbella to unwind and relax. We did take a day trip to the Alhambra but the other 3 days we laid on the beach and sat by the pool. We stayed at a resort called the Don Carlos in Marbella which was out of this world!

Spain is an absolutely amazing country. You will love it.
