Sparklers

Sparklers

We're getting married at the RH outside. It's just going to start getting dark when the ceremony starts and by the time it ends, it's going to be dark. Instead of decorating the gazebo with a lot of flowers, I decided to go with a million candles. We're going to have Hurricanes going down the aisle and then in front of the gazebo and inside of it will be a lot of candles. I was going to make rose petal cones and have the guests throw them as we walk back down the aisle, but I just realized it will be dark and the rose petals will be hard to see. I think the sparklers would look really pretty instead. What do you girls think? And where do I buy them and how do the guests light them??

I believe those are considered fireworks and are illegal in NY. Definitely check with your RH before buying them.

first off, you have to ask your RH if they'll allow sparklers.

second, is your aisle wide enough that the sparks will be about 2 feet from you on each side (thats the reccomended distance for safety)

third, heres a site that i found that has pretty good prices, and lots of options

as for lighting them, I guess buy some cheap lighters in bulk and put them on every other chair for the guests????

i'm sure it will look pretty. i just worry about fire safety. i think those are legal in NY, they are the only 'fireworks' you can purchase here pretty easily on july forth so i think they're legal... i just worry about someone getting caught on fire (god, i'm such a worry-wart)...
