Speaking about puppies

FH and I have been discussing getting one, we both want an American Bulldog. Where do I even begin to look, here in New York,. The places I've seen are all out of state. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

start by looking in the classified section of the newsday. a lot of breeders advertise litters in there. thats where we got my dog from. she was located upstate ny

you should adopt!! Find an american bulldog rescue! You can get a purebreed dog, half the price and be helping a dog that needs a home.

I'm know, I'm all for it, still trying to convince FH, he can be so darn stubborn at times.

Try petfinder.com they have so many dogs of all breeds that need homes!

I HIGHLY recommend organizations called breeder rescues. These organizations take on a specific breed and rescue that breed from irresponsible breeders, pet stores, and puppy mills. It is a great way to get a breed that you want for 1) less money 2) really helping out an animal.

This is a great idea, especially if it is your first dog in the house. Good luck and if you need help, FM me. I'm not only a SPED teacher but a dog trainer too!!
