I have called the Inn at Fox Hollow and the Fairfield in at least 3 times each about blocking rooms and no one ever calls me back! Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

Re: Speaking of annoying vendors...
The Fairfield ( in Syosset) told me to call back when Tyrone was in the next day ( a thursday), but i couldn't that day, so I called a few weeks later & happened to get him. the first person I spoek to gave me a few basics, but told name I'd have to speak with Tyrone. Esually the people that handle room blocks are the slaes managers, so they are good about calling back, but I'm not sure they always get the message. Hotels can be hectic.
Tyrone was very nice though.

Re: Speaking of annoying vendors...
It took a few tries to get in touch with the Inn at Fox Hollow then when we did we were quoted really high prices ($199/night & that's with a Fix Hollow discount).
We ended up with the Marriot in Melville. Friends of mine have used it too. The prices are reasonable, the rooms are just as nice minus the kitchen (who cooks on vacation?) and the plus is they have a beautiful Atrium lobby with a glass cieling over the whole thing. So if it rains we have an alternate picture location!
ETA - Also I don't know if this helps, but the Marriot has a bar in the Atrium which is open till 1am. I wish they had pictures of how beautiful the glass ceiling & plant filled atrium are but the web page just shows the outside.
