Hopefully Good Shepherd in Holbrook............we had a really hard time finding a church because neither of us are Catholic, but we're Christian, and most non-Catholic churches aren't big enough to hold 400ppl!

You are lucky you found one. We're both Catholic and catholic churches gave us a really hard time about trying to book one of them for our wedding b/c we were not parishioners. I really wanted one by our RH, but they wouldn't let us book until 6 months til the wedding, if it was still available at that time. Didn't want to chance it, so we went local. We have our first meeting with the deacon scheduled a week from Sunday. Kind of nervous.

You've already hit your 6 month mark....have you checked with the church near your RH to see if they are available? If you were still interested in them, I'd call to check before you meet with the deacon of this church. St. Edwards in Syosset is pretty laid back too, if you needed another option.

I did try for that, and the priest from St. Edwards was soo nice. My FH had a change of heart though right at the 6 month mark and decided he just wants to stick with his childhood church now, so I am just sticking where we are now.

You girls really pay attention to detail though! Thanks for looking out.
