I know it's a cardinal rule for the groom not to see the dress until the day off (if you choose to do it that way)
But what about your father?
My dad told me he wanted to surprised too.
And also, he was fussy with the tux situation, he thinks he shouldn't match the grooms.

i showed most of my friends and my mom and fmil. FH actually refused to see it, so I really didn't care either way....I honestly thought he should, because FH can't dance, and my dress is kinda big, and I'm kinda worried. LMAO.

I found out that my dress came in yesterday and my father actually asked if he can come to my first fitting, I was super surprised but I'm going to let him come.

i guess its up to u... my dad saw the dress on the day of when we were all getting ready. dh didnt see it til i was walking down the aisle. i dont think there's anything wrong with them seeing it tho.

Nobody needs to match anybody. Just let him wear any style tux that is a proper tux.
