Re: speeches
We only had BM/MOH make a speech. We didn't want to talk and neither did our parents. Plus we didn't want to take time away from the party.

Re: speeches
we had:
matron of honor maid of honor best man
then when dinner was being served, my dad grabbed the microphone and said a few words. im not sure how it felt for the guests (i did hear that ppl thought the first speech was tad long), but i thought it was really nice (oh, naive bride!)

Re: speeches
I had my maid of honor, matron of honor and the BM make speeches. I think any more than 3 would have been too much. Would your MOH be offended if you dont ask her to make a speech?

Re: speeches
We had MOH and BM - that was it. My dad and DH's dad made impromptu speeches at the rehearsal dinner.

Re: speeches
we only had my sister, maid of honor and his brother, best man.
i have three sisters so each of them said a few sentences with the MOH which i thought was really nice!

Re: speeches
First my dad spoke right after the first dance bc he wanted to present us with a letter from the Obama's that he got from his friend who's a Congresswoman. It was short and sweet.
After he sat down they called up the Maid and Matron and the Best Man. We just asked them to keep their speeches short. It wasn't too bad except my sister's speech was more about how she's a doctor then about us.

Re: speeches
my MOH & the two best men ....
we asked them to keep it to a minute each ... MOH did, but the Best Men were 5 minutes and 12 minutes long
wanted to kill them!!!
i would let your MOH do a speech too if she wants to. you can ask everyone to keep it short (hopefully they'll listen)
