Spellman/Imagine Studios

Hi. I've been looking at photographers all week and so far I have narrowed down my choices to Spellman and Imagine studios. Does anyone have any positive or negative feedback about either one? I'm having a hard time choosing.

There's a big post about Spellman. It's someone with a bad experience though. I don't know of either.

When I was interviewing, Imagine 'lost' my appointment a few times and were not even apologetic about it. Several brides here have used them and really liked them but disorganized vendors make me nervous.

I would recommend Imagine Studio 100% We used them for our Aug 3 wedding. Lia is great to work with. She is very unobtrusive and so is Nelson who works with her and does the video. I just got some of our proofs and I will share soon. We were never interrupted at our reception, they work so smoothly together. Looking at some of these proofs I did not see her or even know she was there. I love her!!!

I will post my pix by the end of the evening for you to see. I think you should go and see both and make your decision from there. No matter what anyone says you are the one that has to like their work and they have to fit in your budget!!!

We are using Spelman, we are taking our E-pics on Tuesday so I'll have more feedback for you then. Christine Spelman did my co-workers wedding & I think she's easy to work with. I did not meet w/ Imagine.

We are using Spelman for our July wedding and she has been great to work with so far. We had our e-pictures taken last weekend and she was really easy to work with and very friendly. I'll know more when I get the proofs next week. Good luck!

I'm also using Spelman next June. I met with Imagine studios and LOVED their work, but they are a little pricey and do not include as many pics as Spelman. Your pics will be beautiful with either studio.

Definately give Imagine a call. We used them last Sept. I love our album - we have received so many compliments on it. Like Sahmma said Lia and Nelson are a plesure to work with.

I booked Imagine for my wedding next month. So far, I've only had the engagement pictures taken but I am SO happy with their work. Lia is wonderful to work with.

Disappointed

I really loved Imagine's photography, but originally my FI and I didn't think we would also want videography and they told us we could only use them if we got both. I'm disappointed to hear that other brides were able to use them for only photography, but I'm happy for all of you! I'm going with Steve from Patken and I'm so excited about my choice, but wish I would've been able to get my first choice, Imagine.

02Bride I am sorry to hear, but I think that rule only applys during their peak period. I wanted both and I loved Nelson's work so it was not a problem with me to do both with Imagine!! The smoothness of them working together was to our benefit!!

Yeah, I completely understand their reasoning behind it. After we booked our photographer, we ended up deciding to get a video too, but it was too late! Oh well!!!!

Thanks lulu, I am happy to hear you are close to a decision...did you go and see them recently??? Whatever decision you make as long as you are happy and you are confident that the person will capture your day the way you want to, that is all that matters.
