as many know, i live in nj. is there a hotel where, if i went, i would be able to crash for the night??

Isn't the Garden City Hotel near-by?
Westbury Manor is in the vicinity of where Christine is looking, you could see what hotels they recommend that are near-by.

The Marriott is in Uniondale and is not too pricey and there are plenty of Best Western hotels.
