I've read a lot of threads where guests said things that made me go

My mom mentioned to my uncle that we were thinking of doing donations instead of favors and he actually called me up and said
'If you give donations instead of favors, I will donate your wedding present'

I said, 'ok, then I will donate your meal!'

My uncle is apparently the only person who goes to a wedding for the favor!

No one is 'complaining' but people make comments.

FH's side of the family is Jewish - but he and his immediate family are not practicing at ALL. But some of his extended family made comments about it being on a Saturday before sundown. I feel bad, but its when we wanted to do it. If they can't come, I feel bad...but it was important to us.

Other comment is about the hotels being $$. Unfortunately there aren't many in the area...

Its to far...reception is in NJ 20 mins from everyone invited except FH Grandfather and like 5 others....

Is he serious? I love the guy and all but who is inconvenient for? I mean really

ANND Can I see the guest list? Why isnt so and so invited how will I face them?
hmm I dont know them so why would they be on the list

omg a guest of DHs side had the NERVE to say to the waiter (poor college kid)

I'M SITTING AT THIS TABLE WITH ELDERLY PEOPLE....IF YOU DON'T SHUT THE AIR CONDITIONER OFF, I'M GOING TO TAKE THIS PLACE DOWN.....I'M A LAWYER!!!!!!!!

the kid he said this to was like.....20. He panicked, told the Maitre' D, who then interrupted me while i was gettin down on the dance floor and he called the manager over and made a scene....so i said I DON'T CARE *WHO* WANTS TO SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN....MY DRESS WEIGHS ABOUT 75 POUNDS...THE DANCE FLOOR IS PACKED.....I WILL NOT SIT OUT THE REST OF THE NIGHT BC SOME RE-RE IS COLD.....IF THEY DON'T LIKE IT, THEY CAN COME TALK TO ME.

When i see this arrogant a-hole again, he's in for it

We would have thought twice about it if it were an immediate family member (mom, dad) who felt this way...but we're talking about not close extended family who we NEVER see.

1) my grandmother was upset we weren't having the wedding where my sister had hers....2 blocks from my uncles house so he could drink and walk home. They decided to book a limo.

2) Then 3 days before, this awesome limo deal my uncle got fell through and she called my mom saying 'oh no- i dont think we can come to the wedding b/c we dont have a ride' uurr first- my uncle drives and has a car, second, ask another fam member to drive you- which they did and it wasnt a problem. but to say u cant come wt f..love her, but shes so one track minded

3) Then DHs uncle comes up to us at the sweatheart table and says why are u sitting by yourselves, i like it better when the bride and groom sit at one big table w/ family and BP...uuurrr- b/c its our wedding... you did it your way at your wedding 3000 years ago so we are doing it our way.

4) my uncle (same one who wouldnt drive) shows up in a plaid lumberjack shirt and kakis. Sure I could see if he didnt have a suit but he has 3 different ones he wears to all his friends events..so what are we? pieces of crap that u cant wear a suit..its at the watermill, not Ihop

I have some extra bottle openers- you can have one for his place seating..lol

#1 - why are you straightening your curls! Ughh don't want to hear it anymore! You can't do much with naturally curly hair...just not elegant!

#2 - why is the hotel so far from the reception hall. First of all we booked our wedding 6 months out and every hotel on the east end is booked! Secondly we r paying over $3k to bus 100+ people to and from so I don't want to hear it!

And #3 - all of these came from the same person....I heard the reception hall is small and there isn't room to walk in between tables. Why do I have to get up so early for pictures. Why aren't you doing a high CP? Make sure your dress doesn't look like a night gown. The guest list is so big....you must have a lot of friends. Why r the BM wearing different style dresses. And the list goes on!

Mines is: your invitation is stupid it doesn't let us check off whether we want to attend your wedding...

Me: uhhh that's because its not an invitation. It's a savE the date magnet.

Them: that's stupid! Everyone has stainless steel fridges who can hang this up?

where my wedding is! lol listen to this...my parents are PAYING FOR THE HALL and its alittle further east than another hall we looked at (that being fox hollow) ..FMIL has the nerve to complain that it may be too far out for the oot guests...but all of the oot guests are her side of the family!!! Practically none of my family is out of state..it was sooo annoying..i felt like saying..'shut up, are you paying?!?'
