So with us moving in really soon and the second bedroom options lurking around AND the wedding just around the corner, FH and everyone around us can't stop talking about babies! I haven't even had my bridal shower and there is talk about a baby shower! Anyone planning on children soon after the wedding, I know I wasn't!

apparently our families think this is somehow their business and we have been told to 'stop being silly' and we should 'not want to be old parents'
whatever. since when is 30 old? and so THEY were young parents and their kids are grown now - i dont see them gallavanting off every weekend and traveling the world.
our families sound quite similar! since when is it there business!!

we always planned on waiting at least 3 years... but lately I don't think that is going to happen. We will probably start trying in a year or so

We'll be so poor and tired from this wedding and buying a house that I don't think I can afford of take care of a baby right now. It would be nice but not ready.

even though i'm 27 and FH is 34 we decided to wait two years to have a baby... 30 is my limit! We want to enjoy being married for a while and get our finances in order before we really start to try....
on a side note: I just found out that TWO of my friends in cali are preggers and cant come to the wedding! crazy huh

My mom had my brother at 30 and me at 39 and she still is putting on the pressure...LOL. They've also requested it be a boy since they have 3 grand-daughters...
Families always have opinions...you guys just do what's best for you...that's how we're doing it. They'll just have to suck it up.
Honestly I'm afraid of pregnancy and giving birth. I have some health issues that make me 'high' risk and I also have some trauma related to surgery and hospitals. I do want children, it's just such a daunting thought sometimes.
