So with us moving in really soon and the second bedroom options lurking around AND the wedding just around the corner, FH and everyone around us can't stop talking about babies! I haven't even had my bridal shower and there is talk about a baby shower! Anyone planning on children soon after the wedding, I know I wasn't!

No, not for a couple of years at least. FH is doing a 2 year pharmacy residency, so we're definately waiting until he's done with that. And then i'm even considering doing one... so that might put babies on hold for even longer... whenever we're ready it will happen! We're young and have plenty of time! (we're both 23)

FH and I will both turn 26 a few weeks after the wedding, technically the week after we get back from the HM. We both were HM babies and I guess he wants to continue the tradition! I definitely want children and my only fear is giving birth! But, I just want it to be us for a bit and have that surprise, We're Pregnant feeling. Is that bad?

lol, I am 26 and FH is 32 he keeps joking around about having a honeymoon baby, I was like I don't think so. He also said he doesn't want to have arthritis when he plays with our kid lol we will definitely wait after 1 - 2 years. I want to enjoy our 'alone' time

We are older, I have 2 already, but he wants his own. We can't wait much though if we do. He wants a HM baby. I will keep you updated about that.

FH and I have been together for 8 yrs and I'm 32, so if it doesn't happen right away I will be going for further help to so that we can concieve. BUT, I'm older, not the oldest but just older than you However if I were your age No I would not rush to have babies. I come from a family and culture where babies are are EXPECTED by a married couple right away so trust me I understand, but at the end of the day it's your marriage enjoy as much time with your husband as you can because when the kids get here things will never be the same. Not in a bad way, just not the same. HTH

Once you take the pressure off, it will happen! I think I am feeling so pressured to have a baby so soon after the wedding, that I fear I won't be able to conceive and will be heartbroken because of it. I have actually expressed my feelings about this and no one seems to care about taking the pressure off!

I totally agree with you. I have a cousin who has been trying to get pregnant for some time. Well this summer alot of very stressful things were going on and she truly had no time to think about 'GETTING PREGNANT'. Well one night after all everything had been said and done BAM... she got pregnant and with twins, and no fertility drugs It's hard but don't let yourself be pressured into having babies right away, do it whenyour ready. As far as concerns on being able to concieve that is definitely something you should talk about with your GYN.

definitely not for a looong time if not at all. i just cant picture myself with kids, i guess because i was always around my siblings and little cousins all my life, i kinda dont like them when their ALWAYS there...i like the kids you can send home with their parents. but who knows, maybe when i hit my mid-late 20's i'll change my mind. right now we're not ready and not stable enough for one.

No, we haven't lived together and want to enjoy that. We don't plan to start having kids for a few years, but if it happens sooner, it happens.

Re: Spinoff-Baby Related
we're not planning on having one for at least a year or two. we'd wait even longer if we were younger (i'll be 32 in may, DH will be 38 at the end of the month). we hope to buy a house by year's end or early next year, so that's more important to us right now. we want to make sure we're settled in first before having a baby. our long term goal is to hopefully have one when DH is 40, but if it need to be pushed back til he's 41 that's OK.

Re: Spinoff-Baby Related
Our families talk alot about us having babes right away. We're going to start trying 1 year after we're married. We'd wait longer but we're 'older' . By the time we get married I'll be 33 and he'll be 34. We figured if we wait 1 year, we'll be OK to start trying at 34 and 35 respectively.

Re: Spinoff-Baby Related
We already have a baby, though she is growing up way too fast, already 1.5 years old!!!! I am almost positive that we will be trying on our honeymoon for another one... We want them close in age and if we get pregnant right after the wedding, by the time this baby would be born my daughter will just be turning 3.... And thats not as close in age as I wanted them but nothing I can do about that LOL.... So Im thinking we will be trying on the honeymoon..... FH is meditating for a boy LOL
