Do you really want to know what other people really think of you?

I say no, no one wants to know the truth. We hide from it anyway we can, and when we are faced with it, we explain away character flaws as 'just the way I am' or some other excuse rather than admitting to the possibility that you maybe a jerk, or rude, or thoughtless.

I think people only want to know when they are loved. That's not the same thing as really knowing.

i don't think i'd want to know - there are things about me that i love and i'm sure others find annoying or insignificant.

i'm an optimist though....i like good and happy things

I remember once in college I overheard one of my sorority sisters talking about me (she was my nemesis--I'll hide her identity by calling her fat jealous b!tch...). Anyhoo, she was going on and on about everything she hated about me...It was surreal, so rarely do we really hear something like that...

I would, if I don't know I have a really bad and annoying trait and no one ever points it out to me, I will just annoy and turn off more people. If it is brought to my attention then at least I know about it and can work on it.

Me too - after that Shamu post back in November that was totally directed at me, I think my skin is thick enough where I could take whatever people have to say about me. I always take it with a grain of salt and remember who/where it's coming from.

Yes/no because i wouldn't care what people really think about me i am who i am either you love me or hate if a person likes me thats great if a person hates me thats their option. I like everyone on here because i have a good heart, but if someone does not want to get to know me for me than its their lost. my opion.

Honestly, I do care what people think about me, and I'm really sensitive to it.
i am highly critical of myself, but I like to think that I'm the only one who thinks those things about me....so learning someone ele noticed my faults would be really traumatic for me....

I know I should care what others think - but I really really do.

I'm terrified when I see my students passing notes and I take them, that they'll have something mean about me in them......
