I have gone commando a handful of times because it was necessary - fashion wise.
However, going forward I have decided that if my clothing requires that I wear no panties - I am not wearing it.
The stress is just not worth it.
at the time my head is swirling with thoughts:
what if my pants rip?
what if I get in to an accident?
chaffing
etc
etc
Not worth it.

1st thought - Mel is throwing up at her desk at the mere mention of panties
2nd - the accident thing gets me every time. God forbid some stranger should see me without my panties on. Unless said stranger is super hot fireman/rescue worker who likes girls who don't wear panties.
3rd - I have started going to bed with nothing but panties on and it's quite liberating. However, I can't get past taking the panties completely off. I need the panties to stay on. Not sure why.
4th - I'm trying to say panties as many times as possbile. Mel - don't get your panties in a bunch, because I'm saying panties so many times. The topic is panties. So I want to stay with the theme of panties.

it's my new hobby. finding as many ways as possible to bring 'panties' in to the converstaion
there was a post on bhb titled 'PANTIES' i had to fm that one to Mel, it was fun.

But now that I'm PG,and I almost pee everytime I sneeze, I wear cute maternity thong panties!!!

I'm not brittany spears, so I don't worry that the paparazzi will take pic of my naked crotch while I exit my jeep, but I have trouble going thong-less. On the rare occasion I forget them I am self conscious all day. (explanation: I go to the gym in the morning and shower & get dressed and go straight to work from there, this is how I can forget them)

i have gone commando when necessary - but not my fave thing to do.
all these young hollywoods dont wear them - i think it is very in right now to not wear underwear. maybe i am just getting old?
