My Dh is weird... he doesn't say I LOVE YOU, but instead I LIKE YOU... his theory is it's more of a compliment to really LIKE someone for who they are and for their personality than to just love them (after all, you love your family, but that doesn't mean you necessarily like them, right?). So, as for the first time he told me he 'liked' me? Probably the third date. The first time he told me he loved me? THE NIGHT HE PROPOSED!!!

LOL That is how we meet. it was march 17,2000 we were in a bar i walked past him and he grabed my arm and said 'i love you'
but he said it for real about 2 and half months later

We'd been almost to the six month mark! But I knew I loved him and I knew he loved me. I said it first.
I think the next day we began talking about getting married and we got engaged a couple months later.

Our first date was on June 13th and FH told me he loved me on July 4th. I knew a little before that, but didn't want to say it first.

DH said it to me first after knowing him two weeks. He told his cousin the night we met that it was love at first sight! We met at a dance club
I was surprised when he said it so soon after knowing him but it just felt so right so viola I said it back and that was 13 years ago

We started dating 7/6, he said it 7/8 - 2 days! We were friends for a while and both really liked each other for months, so when we were both ready for our relationship we had already known that we loved each other

We met June 2001 and didn't have our first date (or see each other for that matter- he was 1000 miles away) until July 21, 2001.
He told me he loved me on my birthday August 7th. So 2 months after we 'met' but only 2.5 weeks after we started dating.
That was monumental because DH dated someone for almost 5 years before me and hardly ever said it. That is how his brother knew he was going to marry me.

About 2 months... We started dating on August 14, and he said it sometime in mid-october

DH said it right away, in just a few dates. We knew the moment we saw eachother that we were meant for eachother, so saying 'I love you' so soon felt right.

when you're firneds first it's really more complicated.
By the time we started dating we were already really falling in love. We had been dating for about a week. it was the morning after our junior prom, and it was FH's birthday. HEe was going to someone else's party that day so I wanted to call him before he left to wish him a Happy Birthday. I called him at 9am (I didn't know then how much he's NOT a morning person), and his mom gave him the phone and I said 'Happy Birthday' and he was so happy he said 'I love you.' I wasn't sure what it meant at the time because we were such good friend, but I asked him and he said he meant it. He claims he was in love with me at first sight.

We were both so scared to say it. I think it took about 7 months, we started dating in July and said it in February....Valetine's Day to be exact!
