Spinoff - I want this, but I got that instead...

had the urge to splurge but went the thrifty route instead?

Post it, share it - inspire us whose eyes are bigger than our pocketbooks.

me first, I posted this on the original thread it retails for $380 at BCBG.

And I just bought this ABS dress that retails for $298 from Loehmann's online for $87 no shipping!

I think it's pretty close in style and flow-ie-ness

Any more urge to splurge stories....................

I wanted Chanel sunglasses (about $360) or maybe Coach sunglasses ($250) but I bought some cheapos for like $25 and now they are ruined and I need another pair already. I'll either splurge on what I originally wanted or see if Target has any nice ones!

And I wanted a Louis Vuitton bag but I bought Vera Bradley (I have a thing for them anyway).

I wanted a mahogany desk for my home office but I got a build it yourself thingy from Staples (it looks nice and I got a deal).
