Spinoff.. Jewish Brides

Spinoff.. Jewish Brides

Other than a Kettubah and a Glass for Breaking.. what else do we need to have for the ceremony?

Do we need a Kiddush glass for wine? or does the rabbi supply that?

Also.. I ordered Yarmulkes already...

is there anything else I'm missing?

Chuppah?

We're using FFIL's tallit (he passed away last year).

I'm not sure about the kiddush cup. I think many people buy this, or buy a set to keep as an heirloom. Doug wants to use one he got as a bar mitzvah gift and never used. I kind of wanted to get our own, but I can't really justify the expense.

Are you getting the head coverings for the women?

I can't think of anything else. We're doing a unity candle. We're interfaith, but we're using a Jewish basis, not a christian basis for it.

challah knife! I'm using a family heirloom one.
Kiddish cup is mine and I love it
unity candle (we're interfaith)

no chuppah and I'm sad

We're going to wrap the tallit around us during part of the ceremony ins lieu of a chuppah. Maybe you can do this, too!

I will be doing the traditional chuppah with the florist...

I just was unsure about the small details.. etc.
Thanks!

think you got it all covered...
my checklist is:
katubah
glass to break
yarmulkes
kiddush cup (our rabbi does not supply one)
chuppah (being supplied by our RH)
and our rabbi suggested we bring a nice bottle of wine we want to share with each other instead of using something from the RH (and he said white is better just in case of any spills)

WOw.. You know until this moment I had not even thought about the wine. We're getting married in church..
