They arent at all. I'll get reamed if I say the reason. Hmmm. I am a glutton for punishment - No pay, no say. I do keep them informed and show them things along the way but as far as any decisions? Nope. No dice.

I feel the same way. Same goes for my parents though. My money, my decisions.

My inlaws to be have given us money for the moajority of vendors besides the hall- which is gracious of them and happily accepted BUT they have NOT given their opinions on who to get what to get etc.... they are not originalyl from the country, they speak english but it isnt the best, and they have all boys, my fh being the oldest, so they havent done this before. We let them know everything we are doing with their money BUT they dont insist on much if anything at all WHICH IS GREAT!

Well I don't really have FILs persay. My FH has absolutely no relationship with his father and his mom passed away. So his aunt & uncle are kinda my FILs.

They're great! His aunt is standing in as his mom and his uncle and their 2 sons will be GM. So his aunt asks me questions about what's going on and we get along so I try to fill her in on the big stuff, but not every detail.

I told her when my dress comes in she can come see it with me and my mom. It's just tough bc she's out east and doesn't drive, or else we'd invite her to go to the showcases with us.

Not really.. I am OK with that because my parents are great and involved!

What wedding all the way. First she got pissed about the hall because she said there was nothing nice about it. When I see her she doesn't even ask how the planning is going. I'm over it now but it did bother me for a little while.

not at all....its weird...sometime I feel like they're what wedding, but other times they want to know everything. Nice thing is that they don't really interject at all.

FMIL is involved and at times can be over involved.

Well, my mom passed away about 3 1/2 years ago and I'm become very close to my FMIL so she has offered to do all of the mother/daughter things with me if I want to. My FFIL said pretty much the same thing as some of you who posted...'Tell me when to be there and I'll be there!'.
