Do you believe your birth order makes any difference in the type of person you turned out to be? There are lots of theories on this.
I'll answer first..
I'm the baby. There is only 2 of us (me and my older brother). There is five years difference between us. He is my best friend and I love him to death .. no jealousy or issues between us. I consider myself very lucky!
I do think I was a more spoiled than he was, but that's mostly because I was the only girl (and only girl grandchild on both sides) .. but not more spoiled because I was the baby, really.
At the same time, my paretns were far more strict with me ..I had many more rules and regulations than my bro ever did! But again, I think that stemmed from being the girl .. not the youngest..

I am the oldest of 3 and the only girl. My brothers are 21 and 17. I can say that I am spoiled to an extent, but I always felt like was able to prove I deserved it. I did well in school and always had a job in HS.
There is definitely a double standard when it comes to the boys. I told my mother that she held me to a much higher standard academically than my brothers. Her excuse is that she's tired and that with me it was so easy bc I took the initiative with my education. The middle child who got a scholarship to college totally screwed up his freshman year (lost his scholarship) and my parents didn't make him come back home. They just gave him a lecture. When I was in college, my mom told me to get my act together or I was coming back home when I got less than a 3.0 one semester. Not even gonna talk about what the youngest can get away with in school.

I am the oldest and so is FH, we both have type A personalities and butt heads because of it...

youngest here...and was spoiled more than my sister...although my parents had us later in their lives...so she was a bit spoiled as well

Well...I'm not sure what I am. I have a twin sister...and I am older...and I have an older brother (3 years older). So...I guess that makes me the middle child...but only by 2 mintues

I am the youngest by only 11 months and I was and continue to be totally spoiled. Then again I'm the good kid, so I feel I deserve to be rewarded...

oldest of 4. i have 3 younger brothers. i am older than them by 3 years, 8 years, and 12 years.

I am the youngest of two...I feel that I was more spoiled growing up, I also was allowed to do things at a younger age then my sister was..and I thinkt hat I had less responsiblity.

I am the oldest of 5 and very much act like the oldest. I am a typical oldest child personality, although my mom always said I would have been a very happy only child

hi as the oldest of 7, I did a little research on birth orders in large families. The oldest, michele and I, take on the personality of only children(which is really interesting michele that your mother said that, because my mother says the same about me.) the 2nd is the oldest then, the 3rd is the middle and 4th is the baby. the fifth starts over as the oldest again, the sixth is the middle child, and 7th is the baby. and so on. it fits my family to a tee.

I am the oldest of three. My mom wanted us spaced out so there is five years between my brother and I and 10 between my sister and I. We are all pretty close despite our age differences. My sister and I are particularly close, but I still consider her the baby!!! And yes, the baby was spoiled rotten!!!

I'm the oldest and I have one younger brother (3 years apart). Now that we're both older we get along much better .

Definitely spoiled, definitley got away with alot more than my siblings. By the time they had me, my parents were alot less strict, or were too tired to care!

youngest of 2! EXTREMELY close to my older brother. and had more rules but like someone said i think it was becuase i was a girl not b/c BIG BRO was the experimental child

I am the oldest of 2. I can definately say my younger brother was much more spoiled than I ever was- which may be the reason I am so self-sufficient now, and he is always crying for everyone to do everything for him!
