Spinoff: Spotlight Dance?!

Can someone explain what the spotlight dance is? When it is played? Who dances? etc.

It's a lot like your first dance, except after you and your new DH dance alone for a bit, other couples are invited in to join in. Spotlight dances are completely optional though, mainly because a lot of couples have people join in during their first dance. We're going to dance alone for the whole song for our first dance, so we're going to do the spotlight dance where other couples can join in.
