Our deacon said we need to tip each altar server $20...individually in their own envelope. Quite specific lol.
Did anyone elses church give you an amount to tip the servers???

we actually didn't have altar servers so i didn't have to worry....but even for the singer and organist the church didn't tell us what to tip or even that we had to tip.

Not yet, but we're meeting with the priest next weekend so that's when he'll drop the bomb on us probably. But, I was planning on giving each altar server $20 anyway since that's what I always hoped for when I was an altar server at weddings. LOL!

no...i think telling you what to tip is a little silly. Do what you feel. I was going to give mine 20 but there is only one of them

I think $20 each is good. It is kinda weird that they tell u how much to tip, but... At least its only 20.
