Post a picture of a house you'd love to buy (on the realistic end - not the kabillion-dollar homes)....

LOL youre funny 'tudor lovers' hmmmm thats not bad at all thank you...i mean the kitchen would need to be remodeled and i would get rid of the wood paneling on the LR wall but its a real nice area, nice house and good price for the area, thank you. And the remodeling is not a big deal i mean chances of having to fix up your new house somewhat is very likely unless you buy a brand new one but even then ppl want to paint the walls or maybe do something differently

Now i keep thinking about the house i found in astoria, but by the time were ready to buy it'll be gone

MPAS-you might know the answer or at least tell me what you think...ok i just saw a condo in astoria a 2br its $560,000 which is ridiculous for a 2br apartment but i am just curious if its the new building they built on 45th street and ditmars bc it says it was built 2006, it can also be the one by riccardo's so not sure...they only show a kitchen in the pic but the kitchen looks nice

Re: Spinoff to Denise's house post...

Ok i had posted yesterday about how i saw a condo for 82,000 in kew gardens, i thought WOW W** is this a mistake...by the pic which isnt the best one i can tell which area its in since i live right there and the area its in is a GREAT one, its so nice there...its not a regular condo its a detached home its 2 bedrooms the payments would come out to $389 a month how amazing is that...its just probably a fixer upper but that is just fine with me bc ill have my dad get his guys to do it...i am was just looking bc i was bored at work yesterday and had no intentions of buying but if this is a good deal i might go for it, i took down the number and im gonna call, i can even pass by to look since its by where i live now.

If i were to buy this, we can completely renovate the place, we would save TONS of money by having payments of less than $400 a month and then in a year or two sell this which we would increase its value since we renovated it and then buy a house

this is the only pic, and its the outside but i know those houses there so i know what the whole outside looks like

Ohhh I dont know, I have to ask Fh. But thats alot of money for a condo. Might as well buy a house but its in Ast and everything is sooo expensive. I would love to live in Upper Ditmars

this is the house we're considering buying.. we have a good chance of getting it.. we're just trying to decide if we should move right now or not..

hard HARD decision..

but it has EVERYTHING we want..except a pool and it has space to have one put in.. just trying to decide if we should do this or not..

oh yeah its ridiculous for an apartment, you might as well buy a house...thats why alot of city ppl are moving there bc for them the price is good. Believe it or not upper ditmars if you buy a condo there which arent buildings its two family houses the prices are not bad

after i saw the 82,000 condo i mentioned it to Fh bc i thought of a better idea...to buy it, completely renovate it and not even move in there but sell it right after...even though the market is going down we can still double the price and it'll still be a good price to sell it for, lets say $160K-180K for the area its still low but it will be double what we paid and then the $160,000(although i would aim for $200k) we use for a down payment on a home

JENN! I was JUST about to post that house!!!

How is Brightwaters? Is it a good area? is that Bayshore?

I love Brightwaters! BUT, you'd have to send your kids to private school IMO, Bay Shore SD isn't the greatest.

I was just going to write the same thing about Brightwaters

100% NOT true about Bay Shore SD. Great district & great area. Those around the area know about Bay Shore & its qualities. If you aren't from around the BSSD you tend to make gross assumptions. JMO
