spinoff to first post- post you FIRST post ever

here is mine

Hi Ladies! I just got engaged and I am already feeling the stress of planning the big day.

Has anyone attended or had a wedding a the Vineyard Caterers??

I always pass it when we do wine tastings and it looks nice and reasonable but before I take the time and effort to visit there, I was wondering if it is nice?

Any help is appreciated!!

Any Riviera brides out there?
FH and I looked at it this past weekend and really liked it.

Did you have a good/bad experience there?

Jeez - I didn't even introduce myself. I hit the ground running!

this was mine...WOW

New Girl needs help with halls!

I went to the Bridal Expo at Jericho Terrace yesterday, and while I thought it was lovely, the food left me wanting more. It didn't seem to have much flavor to me. Did anyone else have a different opinion?

Beside Verdi's, I am also looking at The Riviera, Steward Manor CC, Coral House, and George Washington House.

Also, does anyone have any opinions or info either way about Ariana Waterfall and Raphael Winery (esp. pricing here).

Thanks for you help. I have been reading your posts for a few weeks- you guys are really helpful to each other. I think it's great.

how do you find your first post?

i think this was my first one.

but i didnt start posting until july hmm

The reception is costing us way over 20,000 so we're trying to keep vendor costs to under 7500 total. Anyone have suggestions for inexpensive centerpieces or any great florist vendors that aren't expensive?

My FIRST post was on vendors helping brides, but here was my first introductory post on the Jericho Terrace thread:

Hi Jericho Terrace girls!
I'm getting married there June 17, 2006. The ceremony is in the skylight room, cocktail hour in terrace room, and reception in the oak room. I'm estimating about 140 for guests, and I was wondering if anyone had their reception in the oak room already. How many people did you have, and was it roomy enough for everyone to be comfortable?
Thanks!

click search, and then type your username in, go to the last page, and your first post ever will be there.

I would like to be added to the list too!

hmpena-1/15/06- no reception hall yet. But I will keep you posted. Thanks!!

Here's mine, on invite printing:

Actually, My sister had hers printed for her May 03 wedding. Then she had some last minute invites and didn't have time to get them printed. I did them quickly and easily on my computer, and you wouldn't tell the difference between those and the ones that cost $1.50 an envelope. Once you get it lined up, it's pretty easy, and it saves a lot of money. I'm actually planning on making my own invitations with specialty papers.

Please add us, too! It's 6/10/06 at Stonebridge Country Club. Thanks for doing this, it's a great idea!

Re: spinoff to first post- post you FIRST post ever

Here's my first post - like most of my posts, it's TOO LONG!!

Hello ladies!

FH and I are looking for a location for our wedding. We've seen countless websites and pictures and I think we're vicitms of information overload! You all seem so nice and helpful, so I was hoping you might be able to help us narrow our search.

We live in Nassau County. We're looking for a place in Nassau/West Suffolk for our wedding since we will be having a number of guests from NJ/NYC Metro. We're planning on having 150-170 guests and we'd like to pay no more than $115 per person. We will need to have the ceremony and the reception in the same location, and we're planning on a summer 2006 wedding. Our ideal scenario is to be the only wedding at the location that day.

Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks so much!

Jamie
