This was mine...so much for any introduction or anything:

Riviera brides, how did your pictures come out inside the Riviera? I'm concerned it may be a bit too dark. We are having an afternoon wedding, but I'm still concerned as the brick is dark, the fireplaces and the ceiling. Please let me know, or show me your pics! Thanks so much.

It was in July of 03 (we almost got engaged around that point but ended up breaking up for 8 months instead). Then we decided against Riviera & ended up at CLM.

'As a newcomer to this site, my engagement is one that will be bittersweet.

(Though I was told to post a date of engagement in my profile, it is not yet official - just an approximation - the ring is a technicality)

I have two critically ill parents. Dad has been in the hospital since October and may not come home and will more than likely remain in nursing care. Mom is going in tomorrow for open heart surgery.

The thought of not having one or both of my parents on the most special day of my life plays through my head everyday. You should know that your father's spirit will be there regardless of how you choose to honor his memory. I consider myself quite lucky to have had a man in my life who showed me how to choose the man who will take care of the heart he gave me.

Enjoy this special time and smile everyday knowing he is watching you'

Anyone planning a Vineyard/Winery Wedding? Any thought on which ones are the best for weddings?






I didn't even end up going with a Vineyard/Winery wedding cause FH thought the idea was stupid (he said 'why don't we just get married in some random field then'.

Getting frustrated. Want to have engagement party on Sat Sept 25 (out of town family will be here then) for approx 50 people. Nothing too formal/fancy, just dinner, no DJ or dancing. Any suggestions?? Here is what we'd like... evening (6 or 7pm start), prefer open bar, but will settle for unlim beer, wine and soda, prefer sit-down dinner, but buffet is okay. I just don't want it too seem too much like a wedding. A friend of mine had an engagement party that was just like a wedding, DJ, tier cake, they were introduced (by MC), it was a little much for my taste. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, want to keep it in Nassau (wester), we are in Queens. Thank you ALL in advance for any and all advice. Oops, almost fogot..budget MAXXX $2500 for all. -Jill

I am getting married in July 2006 and my FH and I are considering the Swan Club. I am concerned that there are other wedding taking place at the same time. How was that handled when you were there? Do you think it was a problem??

Im a newbie who is looking to finally get out there and set the date and BOOK! I went to the North Ritz Club as my 1st and it is absolutely beautiful but was amazed to hear of the price for 2006. Girls,what is the average for a Fri/Sat nite? I'm on a budget so this is scary to hear!

Sure, you want it all for a great price but the North Ritz didnt even offer to throw anything it. Not a way to get me to come back with the FI.

Anyone who got any suggestions,please feel free.

I can't believe my first post was in response to Jozieb's review of her wedding!! Here it is!!

You guys look amazing and the pictures and everything looks absolutely stunning!!!

Now you made me nervous for a bit because we just booked the Jericho Terrace tonight for our wedding next year, and I'm one of those that if something goes wrong, I make sure it's known that I'm not happy about it. And we also are choosing the limoncello for the intermezzo which makes me wonder if that will work out for us also.

I will have to look into using Fine Art photography also!!
