with this type of neckline, necklace or no necklace....
I was thinking of something very high up- like not lower than my collar bone, or a choker like on the model, or not wearing one at all what do you think?

I see you found something really pretty already..but I just saw this one and thought I would post.
It is similar to the models, but doesn't look too high on the neck that it would be uncomfortable.

My honest opinion (biased of course) - I HATE chokers...everything about them...they shorten your neck.
With your dress, I would go with something close to the collar bone, and something dangling from the middle. Very simple.
So do I. If you want to wear one at all (which I really don't think you need with such a beautiful neckline)...I'd pick something simple and thin that dangles slightly.
