Spinoff to Military: For the ladies marrying Military, Police Officers, FireFighters

First I think I should say that I commend and have great respect for any person that puts the lives of others before their own. Military and Police protect and serve. Firefighters the ones running into a burning building when others are running from it.

What I wanted to know is what attracted you to your FH? Is it true what they say about men in uniform?

I actually fell for FH because he was smoking a cigar and singing Sinatra at his Uncle's restaurant I found out about the uniform later......

But being the daughter of a military man and have dated a few.....there is some truth. Of course there is always exceptions. But to me there is something incredibly sexy about a man who serves his country, whether it be in the PD, FD, military, whatever.....To me its sooo masculine, so honorable, and so sexy to put your life on the line to protect others....That, to me, makes a man sexy.

And I don't think its limited to a man in uniform, just a man who cares for mankind in general, maybe not in uniform, but has a sense of duty, honor, and pride.....I'M ALL OVER THAT!!

I met my FH on Match.com...and he had pics of him in his uniform all serious with sunglasses on, while on a military helicopter...I love men in uniform...oh...makes my heart go pitter patter!!! I love when he puts that uniform on, even though it means he'll be away from me for a bit.

In fact, I am still waiting up for him to give me a call to pick him up from military training at 1:26 am. They were in Wisconsin for 2 weeks. and today their flight was delayed home for 9 hours!! I wish he would just call already!

But yes..the military uniform...YUMMY!!!!

When I first met FI I wasnt thrilled about the whole military thing--not b/c I didnt have respect for them, but because the lifestyle scared me. I was first attracted to his personality (and his muscles).

After all these years I'm very attarcted to his passion for the military.
I have soo much respect for anyone serving in the military or working as police/firefighters.

i think everyone knows how i feel about people who put their lives on the line for our freedom everyday-- and their families for that matter also.

they are the best and so heroic... i love america!

and you should see me when someone is on TV in uniform-- holy god... and for some reason (i know this is strange) i have this thing for men in power-- like the president, when he made a speech at the marine graduation he was standing there all regal in his suit at the podium with like 500 marines in uniform in the background... i was having hot flashes!!! HOLY!!!

so i know it's odd but i have this thing for like big, tuff politicians, usually conservative ones lol, and of course police and military-- holy cow

my FH is a volunteer fireman. It wasnt the uniform...I hate that hes a volunteer fireman. Only because the pager goes off at all hrs of the day and you dont know what its for...if its a BS call or not. i'll admit it scares me.
Im not sure whats attracted me to him. Probably his personality and sense of humor!!!
