spinoff to ring/aisle question

spinoff to ring/aisle question

I think (correct me if i am wrong), typically the best man holds the wedding bands for both FH and I.

I 100% do not trust his best man with our rings (he is immature, does drugs and the one and only time he came to our apt he stole $50 from us right out of FH wallet). Now i know they say forgive and forget and i have made every attempt to move past this however i still dont feel comfortable with him holding my great grandmothers diamond wedding band that she is giving me (even though i hope he wouldnt try to screw up the wedding like that).
so my question is...who else can hold the rings that wont look too strange? Or do i just need to suck it up and let the best man hold them???

it doesn't have to be the best man. Have the MOH hold them for you if they guys is as untrustworthy as you say he is. Though I doubt he would try and do anything the day of the wedding (honestly, how would be get away with it?), but if you want peace of mind, I would have the MOH hold both the rings.

how about giving the rings to somebody u trust and can stay in the back of the church so that person can put it in the ring bearer's pillow, so the RB can walk down with them.

that would be perfect...but we arent having a RB

I was thinking of having my great grandmother hold them since she is after all giving me her wedding band to wear

What if your fh hands it to him, literally right before the ceremony? This way he has no chance to mess it up!

Agreed with above.

I'm confused though, if your FH doesn't trust him, why is he the best man???

oh dont get me started!!! its his brother and he feels its the right thing to do. I had long talks with him about this prior to him asking him to be the BM but he wanted to so i wasnt going to argue. They NEVER speak with each other (the brother calls to complain once a month or so when he is fighting with his parents) and that is all the interaction they have. It is actually pretty sad bc FH constantly invites him out with friends, and to our place for dinner etc and his brother doesnt even return his calls!

aww this is sad.

you can also give them to the person who is marrying you.

especially if it's the priest

my pastor hold the rings and distributes them after he says a little something about what they mean

but yeah the MOH can hold em too :)

That's unfortunate to hear but I would give it to him at the church before he walks down the aisle. If you think be would even then attempt to steal them give them to MOH
