just got into a reallllllllllllllly heated debate on cleaning.. like my coworker and i are silent.. like awkward silence lol
she said cleaning is a mans job . he shoudl clean bathroom and do dishes. i disagree..
cleanign is a womans job, but a man shoudl help only if the woman works. if u are a housewife.. u TEND TO THE HOUSE.
just cuz u get ur husband to clean, doesnt mean its HIS JOB.

Well I don't understand housewives who don't clean/take care of the kids, etc. but instead hire people to do it - mostly b/c I don't understand what they do all day. BUT.... if both people work, then both people should help clean. That being said, I usually have to supervise FH's cleaning, or just do it myself b/c as a PP said, my idea of clean and his idea of clean are two different things.

in OUR house.. he scrubs the tub and neatens up..
i vacuum, clean the terlit and the ktichen and everything else.
the 2nd bedroom is HIS..so hes responsible for that.
im a totallll slob.. butttt at the end of the week, i clean. uknwo how it is girls.. u try n put an uotfit toether..and the bedroom looks like a disaster. lol

i think its really both of out jobs, but more the womens, the guy is NOT gunna clean like we do. FH does he share or making the place look neat but not cleaning like i do. and if u are a stay home wife then the house shoule be clean. when i was out of work for a month, this place was spot less.

Shaun gets like that too... he has a really good work ethic with pretty much every job he takes on... he gets really focused even with cleaning...

I think that who ever does it better should do it. I clean the house & do the laundry. FH cooks & cleans the bathroom.

i think the couple has to work out whats best for them...
he HATES doing laundry so thats my job
i dont know how to cook so thats his job
i do the the real cleaning because i want to do it and hes not good at it
he takes out the garbage because its too heavy for me to carry down 3 flights of stairs and throw into the dumpster
again, i think ithe couple needs to work it out based on their schedules and preferences

completely agree 100%. fh and i bought a house we rnt living it it yet but we spend a few nights there and i am always cleaning the bathroom using the steam mopping the floor. i dont drink coffee but i am always cleaning the coffee pot. etc etc but i dont complain.

ITA. What are we in the 1950s? It's nobody's 'job'. It is both of your responsibilities. The only way it would be different IMO, is if one person doesn't work. If you don't have a job than you should take care of the house.
