I have to ask, and maybe I'm stepping out of line here, but how come every new person that shows their face on this board is automatically pegged as an EAL?
I can imagine how as a new bride coming here to plan a wedding you can become so discouraged and not want to post considering the 'warm welcome' we all hand out.
I understand that the whole Karen situation was random and made us all freak out for half a second, but some of the girls on constant EAL alert weren't even around yet when the whole Karen thing went down.
I just think it's a shame that we jump on every newbies back that inititally comes here for the same reason we all did. I can honestly say that I'm so glad I was a part of this board before all of the EAL shiit started going down.
I know this is a topic that has been brought up before (and beaten to death) but I can honestly and knowingly say that I'm not the only one who is STILL bothered by it.

Funny, I was just reading that thread last night. Dan Wagner happens to be our photographer and I did a search to see what other who had used him thought.
I will say being somewhat new to these boards, some of the “drama” makes me laugh and some of it has made me feel like maybe I shouldn't post. Alot of you girls have been on here awhile and know each other well. It can be a little intimidating to a 'newbie' (wait, I think I am up to 'Board Enthusiast') But I figure what the h3ll. I will state my opinion, try not to offend, get some ideas (actually have gotten a few really good ones from here) and possibly help a few people out with my own ideas and advice.
DONT forget we all started out as newbiews ... i never look at a newbie and think ugh why is she joining the convo or anything like that, so dont worry...the more you post the better youll get to know ppl

i agree with you and have said the same thing. just because someone is new and doesnt introduce themselves and starts posting people automatically jump down their throats and then automatically think eal! THe bottom line is who cares - ANYONE can lurk on here (never post, never know that they look) and still pull the same crap Karen did.

I'm glad somebody said something about this. Being a somewhat recent bride, and not an avid poster, i was accused of being an EAL b/c I had the same wedding date as someone else. I guess i didn't introduce myself properly since I didnt know the etiquette yet, So I hope that everyone gets a fair chance.

I don't think it should be necessary to tell your life story in order to get questions answered. This is a public site that anyone can see, its a shame you have to be cross examined to get wedding advice.

I'm new! Hi everyone! I didn't have time to read the whole thread but kinda figured out what 'EAL' means. It's pretty scary, I will think twice about putting personal information here. Not to mention I've been getting 2 to 3 phone calls from vendors each day since I've signed up on LIW.

i am going to come out and say it!!! I have questioned people and they have turned out to be 'EAL's'!!!! I didnt exactly call them out, but I have mentioned or questioned it when their post dont make sense......
PLUS a few of the people on this thread who 'hate' the EAL drama have FM'd me to ask what I thought of a certain bride or what they thought could be an EAL. I have not been on all day, I was at work and then the GNO at Fortunoff's so I am sorry if Denise you had a bad experience today, no one deserves to be in a bad mood because some one else is an Arssss. I would never want to intentionally hurt anyone,, we are all here to have a good time! I guess it is better if I just dont mention it anymore if I see something strange going on, that way it will keep the peace!
