skimped on eparty - my ILS paid for part of our eparty but couldnt afford the whole thing so we paid for about half of it - so we didnt go too crazy - we didnt want them spending a lot and we didnt want to spend a lot either....
skimped on flowers/centerpieces - we did no boutineers or corsages (i dont like them at all which is good b/c it ended up saving us money

) and we searched for the best priced vendor - i only needed 3 boks + mine, i didnt get a throw away b/c we skipped the garter/bok toss during the reception and i got the crystals for the CP's myself online.....i would go with flower barn again in a heartbeat....
skimped on invites - i used tessa at e-star-paperie instead of spending $10+ per invite like i really wanted to

so i got knock offs hahaha but she was great and i loved my invites b/c they were different
skimped on limo - DH and i wanted to get a phantom or something crazy for us to ride in

but instead we just did the regular antique car and then 1 navigator limo for our bridal party and parents (we got married at RH so no need for anything crazy)
skimped on favors - i found lenox favors that were originally $30 EACH - they were winnie the pooh - i got them for around $5 a piece so that was a score
skimped on shoes - i originally wanted to get jimmy choos, manolos, christrian louboutins - something like that - but in the end i went for cheap comfort

i ended up with nina shoes that were SOOOO comfy, so i'm not upset that i didn't spend a fortune on the shoes - and i still like all my shoe shots from the wedding....
skimped on hotel - stayed LaQuinta - it saved us money and especially our guests that stayed over too
skimped on wedding band - i got a simple diamond wedding band that i LOVE and it was so much cheaper than what we budgeted, so that was awesome - that was a big score

splurged on - thomas knoell headpiece (which my SIL got it for me) but then i got myself a matching haircomb

splurged on - hair and make up - my vendors were on the expensive side but worth it, especially M*i*a - i love how i look in my photos
splurged on our HM expenses - not the airfare (we flew jetblue) or hotel (DH's aunt/godmother) let us use her timeshare for a week as part of her gift - but we spent thousands on food, alcohol, gambling, activities....i dont know how, but we spent A LOT of money

oh well! it was worth it!
i dont want to say i skimped on my dress - but i could have splurged a little more and i didn't.....i loved my dress but hated my alterations....so if i could do it again i probably would have went with a different bridal salon maybe even a different dress....in the beginning i didnt want to spend 5-10K on a dress but now that the wedding is over and i look back on it we spent so much money on everything else - so really it wouldn't have saved us that much money if i spent more on the dress and we still would have been able to afford everything else....at that point spending an extra 5k on the dress wouldn't have killed us - the cost was already so ridiculous

but im happy with everything in the end so i have no real regrets or complaints about it........
