Stainless Steel Fridge, Stove and Dishwashers: Pls post

If you have one or more...let me know which one and your thoughts.

We are trying to price out new applicances but would love some recommendations!!

We are not set on anything but we are thinking of a bottom freezer fridge:

Dont like how this handle sticks out...maybe another brand?

And then a stove, dishwashwer and overoven microwave

Lisa: How wide is that fridge? I need a 30inch.

Jen: Do you have that above your stove? Does it have a charcoal filter?

Suzanne: Love that and wow that kitchen is amazing. My husband really wants a viking but a) its not in the budget and b) we need a much smaller one - no more than 30 inches!

Stef, go to www.vikingrange.com they have all sizes of those ovens. even the 30 inch.

Stef...I just looked up the specs of that refrigerator and its 35 5/8 wide!!

too bad! Its a great appliance!!

I am crazy about that fridge. I love it because it's got the wide shelves on the top for things like cookie trays, but the freezer is on the bottom. I hate fridges with the top freezer; you have to bend down every time you want the milk.

When we redo our kitchen, I must have that fridge and nothing else. DH thinks I'm nuts.

in our upgrades we are getting all stainless steel appliances...but I won't know which they are or how they are for a few months

Subzero's are great refrigerators! And Thermador's are great ovens! My parents have both and are very happy!

I have a stainless steel toaster oven & coffee pot
But we have installed tons of stainless appliances-this fridge was a Kitchen Maid(i'm not sure of the model-they bought it at Home Expo) & it was terrible-they had to have the doors adjusted 6 times. All of the other appliances were fine though.

This is a subzero that is beautiful-but too big

I'm sure you already know about the streaky-ness on SS appliances-the high end brands don't get as streaky, the others do & they do scratch.
The overall look is amazing though.

I have a stainless toaster oven, coffee pot, blender, microwave, paper towel holder, spice rack, canisters, utensil holder etc etc.

No big appliances until I buy a house, we rent now & I wouldnt spend any money here, then we will buy stainless.

We've got stainless refrigerator, stove, dishwasher in our kitchen. We've got the bottom freezer one and we love it! We looked at the one that you posted Stef but I don't think it was the right size. I'll see if I can find the one we have on the web and post a pic.

I love the look of the SS but have opted not to get them when I purchase my new appliances (we don't need them, but I want them!).

A friend of mine has them, and with 2 children running around the house, they leave fingerprints all over!! Now I know they make the kind that doesn't leave fingerprints, but my other worry was that in a few years, they'll be passe and go the way of the avocado green appliances that were once very popular!

Unfortunatley our kitchen was redone 5 years ago adn we bought it 3 years ago, so we have some time before we need to get new appliances

For those that have SS appliances - what brands do you have and are you happy?

There is a new material that is supposed to look like SS but not have the fingerprint issue and also be magnetic. Might think about getting those. But Im not too worried about fingerprints...if the appliances are dirty, it only takes a wipe to clean them off. My current fridge is white and I never can get it looking really sparkly.

Im also not worried about them going out of style. Maybe Im wrong but I dont think SS is a fashion as much as it is something that has come down in price over the years. SS is used in restaurant kitchens for decades and those still look sharp.
