Original post by Sonicstef

If you have one or more...let me know which one and your thoughts.

We are trying to price out new applicances but would love some recommendations!!

We are not set on anything but we are thinking of a bottom freezer fridge:

Dont like how this handle sticks out...maybe another brand?

And then a stove, dishwashwer and overoven microwave

My girlfriend is getting the stainless steel everything in her renovated kitchen and she is getting the smudge free (or whatever you call it). Someone told her that since the stainless steel is attracted to oil, that is why you get those imprints and if you use WD-40, it gets them right out.

Thanks for the compliments. Those Kitchens are customers of ours, I designed them, Rich built them. The first picture is Kraftmaid cabinets, the second is Merrilat. I dont have large stainless steel appliances, mine are white.
We did a stainless backsplash in a home in Freeport, but my pictures of it are in the office.
Here is another kitchen we did with SS, these cabinets were built by a custom cabinet builder

We have the Subzero fridge with the bottom freezer. I LOVE the fridge, the food seems to keep fresher for longer than the expirations (even milk) but the freezer bit could be roomier...so I guess it would depend on how much freezer space you want.

We have the Thermador Oven which is awesome and the Bosch dishwasher which I also love. Quiet as anything. Only problem is that it's so quiet that people tend to pull it open while it's running.

I use this stuff called 'Stainless Steel Magic' it treats the SS and keeps fingerprints from forming...I use it every 4 days or so.

Here's some pictures of the kitchen while the house was still in construction:

We have the Bosch stovetop

And here's a not so great pic of the dishwasher:

I like that the dishwasher's buttons are on the inside. Keeps it looking streamlined.

Susan: You already know I love your kitchen :D

I dont think i need too much freezer space. We have a 24 inch fridge now so upgrading to a 30 inch is giong to be a lot more space.

So i guess your appliances are all made from differenct companies and thats ok?

RichsBride: Would you mind showing me the kitchen with the SS backsplash?

Oh and another question for your Richsbride: Do you have any preference in terms of cabinet maker?

Re: Stainless Steel Fridge, Stove and Dishwashers: Pls post

my sister's appliances are all stainless and it looks beautiful. Her only regret is that she constantly has to wipe it down b/c all fingerprints and such show.

We ended up going with all different makes because after researching, so and so made a better oven but then this dishwasher was better...

it's all stainless so it all matches anyway.

As far as fingerprints go:

Once a week and pretty much the appliances stay print free
