Stamps

I just went to the post office and they said that my invites will need 97 cent postage on each. How ridiculous is that. They are not heavy, but they are square. Just thought I would share, needed to vent a little.

ARE YOU SERIOUS? I have square invites also - I knew there was going to be a difference in the price of the stamps but I didnt know it was going to be that much - I am going to be spending an arm and a leg on stamps

I read somewhere that now the amount of stamps will be based not just on weight, but also shape and width of the package as well.

We went to the Post Office. To get our invitations weigh. They said that it would be the price of the new wedding stamp which I believe is 57 cents. I am sorry but I am having bridal forgetfulness. We ordered personalized stamps for the invitations and the RSVPs.

i know what you mean. Mine were $1.35 each which i thought was ridiculous. They werent heavy at all but b/c they were rectangular boxes the price was higher.

I just found out the same thing!! It was $100 for 100 invites PLUS $41 for the reply envelopes! WHo ever thought postage had to be factored into the invite budget??

That's just crazy!! You know this is all happening because of EMAIL now right!??
I am sure mine will be around that price or higher!!! I'm giving the job to my FH to do since he can write off postage for his company!!
