I think she did. I saw her in person twice (I was on the view in college twice...long story). She had so much make-up on she looked like a drag queen. I must say though that dress really flatters her. My grandmother said that she heard Al was gay. Did anyone else hear that?

U know what I wanted to keep my trap shut, but I hear that is the buzz that he is gay I do not have a problem with that but she deserves better than that. he seems to all of a sudden in love how long did they date I heard not more than 6 months is that true? and what is he some kind of knight? with that thing hanging around his neck? but I still love the way she is and looks

I know the day they married was the one year anniversary of their first meeting (or date maybe?). But she's in her early 40s and he's in his 30s and when you're older you tend to know sooner (in my experience, anyway, having met and married DH in 16 months )

I have Gaydar..and many of my gay guy friends agree that AL is in the CLOSET. And unions like this is not at all uncommon. Look at Liza Minelli or some say Stedman and Oprah. SOmetimes companionship is what makes people get together..everything is not always about sex. Star has issues with weight etc and sometimes when faced with this you have diferent priorities than some..she may know he is gay and just rather be with someone who appreciates her for her. Either way there is a caring between them and that in itself is special.

He's wearing his deceased father's military medals as a tribute to him - that's what's going on around his neck.

That dress is very flattering on her - she looks great.

ETA - love her dress. She did have gastric by pass surgery to lose the weight but I think she was bordering on morbid obesity. That is the only time doctors perform that surgery.

I hear they met in November and got engaged in February - at an all star basketball game.

It seems as though she is settling since she's older but I'm sure she thought through all of this (I hope at least).

I do think it's more about the pomp and cirmcumstance of a wedding than the marriage though. She had some show on lifetime last night - popping the question with Star Jones 'the wedding expert' and I guess 'proposal expert' after having been proposed to ONCE?!?!?!

It appears that she may have staged her own televised proposal (although she claimed to know nothing about it). Lsst night's show was about her helping 3 men propose on t.v. to their girlfriend's - with at least one free ring included.

I thought it was over on Saturday but she seems to have parlayed this proposal and wedding into a few more days of publicity. She had a guest spot on 'Strong Medicine' last night too - as a lawyer (which was her career before t.v.).

Yeah, I think the site was designed by (or at least witht he permission of) Star & Al. Many brides have websties though so it's not odd that she has one too.

Not being catty at all but as for her celebrity, Star Jones was well known in the legal community in the 1990's. I recall her coming to speak at a President's Lecture series event when I was in college. She was a well known Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn (or Manhattan?).

I'm not sure how that transferred into her View program but she is pretty well known - not Oprah well known but she is on t.v. daily.

I saw that proposal show last night and although I dont think shes an expert by any means on proposals, that show was great!
